Koheilan VIII - Sahara's maternal great grandsire

He was bought back for Bábolna by Von Szandtner  in order to maintain his line, a plan which succeeded fully.  The big-framed grey had an exemplary topline, an excellent middle and a conformation full of strong bones which he did not always inherit. He sired the chief sires Jaszmak *1928 (topolcianky), Piolun *1934 (Tersk) and Koheilan X (Bábolna).

The comparatively long middle part was slightly dipped in on the back. The sloping shoulder and the long croup carried enormous musculature, depth was just sufficient. The fore was correct and strong, the hind slightly back at the hock. The pastern rather long, but not slopng, the hooves very narrow, however.  Kuhailan Zaid bred in the desert in 1923 or 1925. He was purchased for Babolna by Bogdan Zientarski and Carl Raswan during their expedition to Arabia in 1931.
