Sterling Silver and I finished our first NATRC ride - a 20 mile novice in October at Bonelli Park, CA. Sterling was relaxed and well mannered throughout the 2 days. 4 miles from the end my stirrup leather broke. He stood patiently while I tried to jimmie a lead rope to hold the stirrup onto the saddle even as several bicycles whizzed by less than 10 feet away. He finished the ride strong. My surprise was to come home with a 2nd in horsemanship and a 5th for horse! Look for us out on the trail!
